Question: Are there inherent problems modeling systems which exhibit emergent properties, whether markets or biomes, if the components of those system are aware of the operation and mechanisms of the whole?

In other words, would modeling a market whose component parts are more or less unaware of the larger picture would be a different problem than modeling a market whose component parts have considerable intelligence about the larger picture, and act upon it accordingly?</description>
